The Peggy Model Search: York ✨

Following the success of our Holmfirth shoot, we brought the Peggy Model Search to a second location - Peggy Bridal York.

By opening applications to a wider area, we were able to meet even more incredible women, each with their own story, style, and reason for stepping in front of the camera.

Again, our goal was simple: To show that bridal is for everyone.

And this group of women? They embodied that completely.

Meet the Models

Sheridan

Sheridan, a wedding content creator from Barnsley, joined us to try something completely new.

Not yet engaged (but patiently waiting on that ring!), she wanted to push herself out of her comfort zone and represent women with fuller busts, tattoos, and their own unique style.

Wearing a UK size 14, Sheridan brought strength and openness to the shoot.

When asked how she felt, she said:
“Strong. Yeah, I feel really really good. I feel really really happy, it’s been such a lovely day.”

Alicia

Alicia is a 2026 bride who has already said yes to the dress with us at Peggy.

As a size 16 rugby player, she admitted she once felt far from the “typical bride” and found dress shopping daunting at first. But through her journey, she found her confidence—and now wants to help other women do the same.

Her message is one we’ll never forget:

“If you're worried about trying a dress on because you think you'll be insecure—just go for it. Everyone at Peggy is so lovely, everyone will hype you up. If you're feeling down about something… other people don’t see that. They see the best in you.”

Olivia (Liv)

Liv, 26, is a 2027 bride-to-be whose journey is nothing short of inspiring.

After being diagnosed with stage 1b2 cervical cancer—a disease that sadly took her mum when she was just six - Liv chose to turn an incredibly difficult time into something positive.

She began documenting her journey, pushing herself beyond her comfort zone, and learning to embrace her body after treatment and surgery.

Wearing a size 18/20, Liv radiated strength, honesty, and beauty.

After trying on her dresses, she shared: “I feel so much more confident… I feel glowy, I feel excited to get married, I just feel confident. It just gives you a real boost!”

Amy

Amy, 35, from York, is a 2027 bride who has loved every moment of finding her dress—especially because she found it here at Peggy.

As a proud mid-size bride, she wanted to show that there truly is something out there for everyone.

And she did exactly that.

After the shoot, she told us: “I feel amazing… the dresses have fitted me perfectly, everyone here has been really really lovely… so yeah, I feel amazing.”

The Power of Women Supporting Women

One of the most special parts of the York shoot was watching the women have fun together.

A highlight of the day was the 4 girls running down York high street together.

It was emotional, uplifting, and everything we hoped the Peggy Model Search would be.
