Tell us about your experience here at Peggy Bridal?
I had such an amazing experience at Peggy Bridal. I contacted Peggy Holmfirth to arrange a bridal appointment about a week after deciding we were going to elope to Las Vegas. I told staff what I was looking for and they were so helpful getting me an appointment as soon as possible (I was working within a tight timeframe!!) I was told there was a selection of minis at York so took advantage of this and my bridal party and I had a lovely day in York!
Staff at Peggy York were so lovely! They explained everything I needed to know and made me feel at ease trying on different dresses. I never felt rushed or pressured - I was given plenty of time to ring close family who couldn’t make the appointment so I was sure I was making the right choice. I left feeling so happy and looked after - and got the DREAM dress!!
Did you have a gown in mind that you were after before your appointment at Peggy?
I knew I wanted mini dress but was open to different styles. I saw a dress in the shop window which was removed from the mannequin for me to try on which I really appreciated.
Did you go for the dress you thought you would go for?
Yes - I was worried by going for a mini wedding dress, it could look like a hen party dress but I found at Peggy all the minis had beautiful bridal details and qualities.
What dress did you go for and why?
I went for the Etta Mini. I loved the simple elegance of it. It was perfect for Vegas!
How did it make you feel when you said ‘Yes’ to your dress?
I felt so happy and relieved!
I was anxious before the appointment as I worried I wouldn’t find the perfect mini for Vegas but this dress felt right and just ticked every box for me!
Tell us about your Wedding day? Where you got married and the styling to your day.
We got married at Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas on 19.02.2025. 16 of our close family and friends flew out to Vegas to celebrate with us. The dress code was black tie. We were married by an Elvis impersonator and hired a Ford Mustang to drive us around Vegas after the wedding where we got some iconic pics! We had a fab time in the casinos too!
Any advice for future brides?
Don’t get caught up on what everyone else wants your wedding day to be. Do what’s right for you and your future husband - life is too short to worry about anyone else!!
