Peggy Real Bride : Annjalee

We LOVE to hear all about our real brides journey and of course seeing the stunning images in their chosen dress. Here, we talk to the beautiful Annjalee about her Peggy bridal journey and tips for future brides.

Tell us about your experience here at Peggy Bridal?

Really loved the whole experience. The staff member was absolutely fantastic. I knew from the moment when I tried that first dress on that dress was for me. She listened to all my needs. My price range my vision for the day and she just picked the perfect dresses for me and made the whole experience a lot less stressful than it could’ve been.

Did you have a gown in mind that you were after before your appointment at Peggy?

No, not a clue at all. I just had a look at a few options online and knew that I loved the variety of styles and materials from the dresses advertised.

Did you go for the dress you thought you would go for?

I was leaning towards something safe, but when I tried on my dream dress that I originally was too scared to buy as I didn’t think my body would look good in it. I absolutely fell in love with it. The style of the dress, the lace all the detail it was just perfect.

What dress did you go for and why?

The dress was a beautiful fitted dress had a gorgeous long trail with all the lace trimmings and all the buttons. I instantly fell in love with it when I tried it on. I thought that the dress was very well suited for the location of my wedding too. Wanted to go for an Italian lace look.

How did it make you feel when you said 'Yes' to your dress?

I cried. I was so overwhelmed all my bridesmaids cried it was just perfect.

Tell us about your Wedding day? Where you got married and the styling to your day.

I got married in Sorrento Italy. I had a dual heritage wedding so I had my white wedding dress that was lace trimmings with a long trail and got married in an old monastery in the heart of Sorrento. We then continued to take pictures on the Gulf of Naples with Mount Vesuvius in the background of our wedding photos. I had my wedding entrance in a wedding villa cliffside with our own little private beach. We had Indian drum players and we boogied for our wedding entrance. Then I changed into my traditional Indian dress and partied the night away and stayed out late in Sorrento centre and danced the night away.

Any advice for future brides?

Just realise that everything that you plan doesn’t go to plan and just be okay that everything is not going to be perfect on the big day. Please take a minute look at your new husband and just be proud of what you two have accomplished together. The day goes so quick but hire a videographer then at least you can watch it all back.
